Personally, I think the usage of stem cells is good. Stem cells are a scientific breakthrough that could help save the lives of many of our loved ones who are currently fighting for their life against fatal diseases. Stem cells are capable of renewing every type of cell in the body. Embryonic stem cells are one of the types of stem cells that may help fight diseases. Coming from fertilized eggs, they can also renew every cell in the human body for anything. This can help restore failed organs in cancer patients so they can revert back to normal health. Another type of stem cell is the adult stem cell, found in everyone. However, adult stem cells are more limited than embryonic stem cells and can only generate one or two types of tissue. One of these tissues are bone marrow tissues, which are greatly damaged by chemotherapy radiation. Adult stem cells can help restore them back to the natural state.
However, you have to pay a price for all good things. In some circumstances, others have to be killed to get these miracle cells. Of course life is precious, but isn't one life given off better than five or more losing their own to something we could have cured?
This whole issue is complicated, but hopefully you can see my side.

Thanks for your post and for putting your opinion out there. I would have to disagree with one aspect of your post, however. If you go back to the stem cell tutorial and re-read it you will find that it doesn't say anywhere in it that people are being killed for their stem cells. These are cells from in-vitro fertilization. There is a big difference. But you're right, there are so many amazing things that can be done with this technology.
